In the new Frugl Grocery app we have significantly improved our authentication services you can use to log in with through increasing the number of services you can now use. Each of these services has different strengths but we leave it entirely up to you as to which one (or which ones) you want to use to log into your account.
If you choose to log in via email we now support the password-less log in for all users which when you enter your email address our system will send you an authentication token in the form of a link that you need to click on to log in to your account. Why password-less? In short you never have to worry about a password breach with us because we never had it to begin with.
Password-less login uses a magic technology called Deep Links which are a new approach to passing information to apps on your mobile device. These are becoming more common across apps and the Frugl Grocery app uses them for password-less login, sharing lists and products or even inviting others to your shopping note. This works across both iOS and Android.
If you found yourself using the login via email option and when you click on the link you found yourself on the support page, it might be because you have clicked on the link from a desktop or laptop instead of the mobile device that you have the Frugl Grocery app installed on.
Try getting a new email login link and then clicking on the link directly on your device that you have the Frugl Grocery app installed on to log in using the Deep Link in the email.
